What are the concepts in Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is based on panchamahaghutas(five elements)-akasha(space), vayu(air), agni(fire), jala(water) and prithvi(earth). These manifest in human body as tridosha – vata, pitha and kapha. It has numerous concepts like manogunas, saptadhatus,
arishtalakshanas, yoga, rasayana, vajikarana etc. Nadipariksha is the method used to analyse the imbalance of Dhoshas in the body. Concept of physiology, pathology, biochemistry, examination, diagnosis and treatment are explained for each disease in Ayurveda.
What are the eight branches of Ayurveda?
The eight branches are
1. Kayachikitsa (general medicine),
2. Balachikitsa (obstectrics/paediatrics),

Acharya Sushruta is called the father of the Modern surgery followed today. The blueprints of the instrument designs are the base for the ones used even today.
